Armelle Benoit's work is a combination of ceramics and painting. She was formally trained in France in both mediums, and her pieces oscillate between the useless freedom of pure art and the utilitarian function of a designer’s project : it brings the spectator back and forth between different techniques, disciplines, and worlds, linking all of them together.
She draws much inspiration from her travels, frequently collaborates with other artists, and appears regularly in exhibitions and workshops, constantly examining and pushing boundaries.
